Seriously tasty. Seriously exclusive. Seriously MOODY

Moody amplifiers were a very classy and individual Australian manufacturer of guitar and bass amps back in the 1960s. There were other Aussie amp manufacturers who made individual and collectable amps, such as Abbey, Amplivox, Diason, Electravox, Eminar, Fhone, Fi-sonic, Flame, Garl, Goldentone, Lenard, Maton, Rex, Savage, Stradivarius, Strauss, Vadis, Vase, WASP , and more, but they often used valves -or tubes to our brothers in the USA - that are now unobtainable (especially Goldentone), or circuits that were Hi-Fi amps at best, or quaint at worst.

Neil Rote of Grouse Guitars has been a long-term user and fan of vintage Moody amps, and now as a dealer in vintage guitars, basses and amplifiers, will at some stage in 2010 offer a new handbuilt line of this legendary name in vintage amps, as well as an occasional 'Custom Shop' special. These amps are certain to become classics in the same way that the originals have become, and will be offered as 'customisable' in most respects. If you want a certain Moody model with Croc Skin pattern leather covering, what the hell - we'll do it! Want our 15-watt model with a Celestion 'Vox' Blue speaker? OK!

More details will be released as they come to hand.

In the meantime, find all the best vintage Moody and other Australian amps at Grouse Guitars.
