Here we have a bargain-basement yet seriously good jazz box that can also rock your socks off!

This is one of the first edition York Town guitars, before they discontinued the model in about 1996 to replace it with the Larry Coryell signature model. Cort has since brought back another Yorktown (now one word) which is a different (inferior) guitar.

It's a very Gibson®-like guitar in character, with a 16" lower bout, 3" body depth and a neck profile that will feel very familiar to players of Gibson® ES-175® and ES-335® models.

The guitar is in great condition - virtually mint, in fact. The plastic tip is missing from the pickup selector switch (and Gibson-style replacement will fit), and the gold-plating on the humbucking pickups and tuners has worn, but the original sunburst finish is virtually unmarked, and the original frets display only minor wear.

The standard of construction of this Korean-made guitar is surprisingly high, with lots of multiple binding. The body front and back, and the headstock are all 5-ply bound, and the beautiful dark rosewood fretboard is also bound - a very elegant guitar! Inlay work is also of a very high standard.

The guitar plays perfectly, sounds good, and is a very cheap way to get into playing a good quality archtop!

It comes with a serviceable non-original hard shell case.
